Coming from three deadly cheetahs, it's the kind of invitation that's best refused - but amazingly, this impala escaped unscathed from its encounter.

Luckily for the youngster, it seems these three male cheetahs simply weren't hungry.

But the answer is, yup, not hungry at the time. For the youngsters, of any species, it is ALL ABOUT PLAY (outside of satisfying hunger)!

and debunked.
The photos also appear photoshopped. Look at the paw on top of the fawn's head -- it looks superimposed. Also the fawn does not cast a shadow but both cheetahs do.

If you go to biosphoto.com and enter impala and cheetah, you come across a lot of pictures of encounters.

I think this happened, but the question is whether the impala got eaten in the end. At least ONE impala got eaten, but whether it was the one in the news article I have no idea.

They do play with their prey first though. Could be one of them got away after being played with.
