Just wondering since I know another Cappy here is as sad as I and for similar reason. Are we all going through it or is it just a coinky-dink?

1. Christmas has always been a very miserable time of year for me

But once it is over I really cheer up and feel that my birthday is really the beginning of the new year. I do not know why Christmas is so horrible for me, I have tried so many different approaches to dealing with it with not much success. But as a Cappy, I will keep trying.

3. and I usually love Christmastime, but

these past 2 years, the holidays have been miserable for me. This year, after my birthday, I spent about two weeks crying in the shower, so the birthday certainly didn't cheer me up!

5. Could it be the practical Cappy finds so much of what is promoted

during the Xmas season unpractical & irrational? Extreme extravagance in spending, food, energy use, & general hullabaloo. Not to mention the amount of insincerity & hypocrisy that is abundant during this season.

Two of our four daughters are Capricorns. And the two are butting heads big time right now.


I'm just hoping they can be in the same house together as we celebrate the holidays. And Mercury goes retrograde here too. Yeah, that'll help:crazy:

I mean I'm not entirely jubilant about my life at the moment, but it's a carryover from earlier this year--some stuff I haven't dealt with, and can't for a while, likely till spring. But I'm not feeling extra crabby or anything. :shrug:

I sincerely hope things start working out for you soon; it seems that we might be in for a few more weeks of the doldrums, however, with Mercury going retrograde. The link that FirstLight posted in her thread said that things should clear up by January 15. Can we all hang in till then, do you think?

I probably found it here sometime in the past so thank you for whoever recognizes this. This has kept me on an evener keel I would have otherwise been on this week.

... it plays a slide show at the beginning with a good spoken affirmation and then begins a chant from AH to OM. If you hit replay, the AH-OM continues. There have been days I have just played this over and over while I did my work. It has helped me. A lot.

12. I've always LOVED Christmas.........

but this year, I just CAN'T get into it!! Mostly because of my medical situation and financial pressures. I'll have to put on a "good face" for my family on Christmas day, because I don't want to spoil it for them. I do find myself making an extra effort to count my blessings, and be thankful for my family's health and well being. I'm almost ready to ask my Dr. to put me back on anti depressants, but the "side effects" prevent me. Everyone in my family is going to have to be happy with "me just being here and alive" this Christmas, 'cause that's all I've got to give them!! MY LOVE...I pray it's enough for them.:cry: :grouphug: JA P.S. Hoping that my BD on the 14th will begin a better year for me too!
