The art of "blessing" is very much in my awareness now. This just came in email and I wanted to share. :)

Blessing Space

Physical space acts like a sponge, absorbing the radiant of all who pass through it. And, more likely than not, the spaces we move through each day have seen many people come and go. We have no way of knowing whether the energy footprints left behind by those who preceded us will invigorate us or drain us. Yet we can control the energy footprint we leave behind for others. In blessing each space we enter, we orchestrate a subtle energy shift that affects not only our own experiences in that space but also the experiences of the individuals who will enter the space after us. While we may never see the effects our blessing has had, we can take comfort in the fact that we have provided grace for those that follow after us.

When you bless a room or an entire building, you leave a powerful message of love and light for all those who will come after you. Your blessings thus have myriad effects on the environments through which you pass. Old, stagnant energy is cleared, creating a vacuum into which fresh and invigorating energy can freely flow. The space is thus rendered harmonious and nourishing, and it becomes a hub from which positive feelings are transmitted. Intent is the key component of the blessings you leave in your physical wake. If your intent involves using your own consciousness as a tool for selflessly spreading grace, your blessings will never go awry. Whether you feel more comfortable performing a solo blessing or prefer to call upon your spirit guides for assistance, visualize each space you enter becoming free of toxins, chaos, and negativity as you speak your blessing. Then imagine the resultant emptiness being replaced by pure, healing white light and loving energy. Even a quic! k mindful thought of love can bless a space.

This type of blessing is cumulative and will grow each time you bestow it. Try blessing every home, business, and office you visit for an entire week and observing the effects of your goodwill. Your affirmative energy footprint will help brighten your day as you contemplate your blessing’s future impact on your siblings in humanity and your environment.

2. That's a good idea.

Never really thought about the unconscious feelings one adds to the ambiance of a place.

I've been thinking of Blue Roses thread about people who affect negatively for no known reason and I know for sure that I've had more places just turn me off than people. Perhaps that's why the French always bring a bottle of wine or flowers when visiting, setting up good will before even entering.

On a regular basis, it sure would mean awareness of one's thoughts and feelings at all times.

this reminds me of several months ago when I was walking the dog I passed a tree, still rather young but out of the blue I was hit by a scene of a wagon as if they must have passed these same grounds a century or more ago - strange as it is a parking lot. But I thought, maybe this tree is a descendant from a tree that once was, and shared its own history with me..
I don't even know what kind of tree it is.

So yes, I definitely believe this energy imprint to be possible.

5. And, this reminded me....

of similar impressions I'm recently getting as I pass places and homes. It also involves blessings, in some way.

Something powerful is happening...

The thing that is so interesting is that I've resisted this energy. This is the perfect place to share this tidbit, so I'll do so. :)

In working on the first book, which involved researching the origins of Voudou (so many spellings, all indicating a variation of the belief system as part of the African Diaspora), many "magickal" things happened. It totally wigged me out, to be honest. I essentially lived what occurred to the main character as I/we wrote her storyline. When I'd write something, THEN it would happen. Unfortunately, most of the events were tragic. :(

As it is time to focus on this project again as far as marketing and PR, decidedly psychic things have been happening. The empath thing has been taken to a new level over the last few days. I didn't realize what was happening at first. I'd be driving and get a distinctive "feel" as I drove past homes. Yesterday, I allowed it, rather than resisted, and as I would drive I would get very distinct vibes and images as I focused on homes. It had nothing to do with the home itself as far as look or price range, but I would get a sense of "loneliness" or "excitement" or "love/warmth" and so forth, with accompanying images. I think this is just the beginning of some sort of opening.

One which unnerves me a bit, but I'm going to just breathe and flow and allow.....and bless all.

Oh, that's another thing, and I wonder if it triggered it?

Oh lordie, this is turning into quite the ramble....lolol.

For years I've automatically sent out the prayer "Ahimsa Blessings" as I drive, trying to envision all creatures staying out of the path of the vehicle to avoid harm.

I consciously expanded that prayer/vision to include humans a few days ago...lol. Trying to radiate blessings....pure blessings....as I drive...for the highest of all concerned.

This psychic "opening" has coincided with that, as well as this project.

6. I was just thinking about something similar a few days ago

I was watching a tv courtroom drama where part of the evidence was that the money on the alleged perpetrator tested positive for traces of cocaine. The defending attorney tried to quash that testimony by pointing out that something like 95% of all US currency in circulation tests positive for traces of cocaine. An amazing statistic, if true, but just like Mom used to say, money is full of germs and "you don't know where it's been."

But I started thinking that the money also carries the energy fingerprint of the people who've held it before. Greed mostly comes to mind. But if we could all start leaving a positive energy fingerprint on the money that passes through our hands, would that make a difference in the world?

I almost posted that here as a suggestion when I had the idea, that we should all start putting out positive energy with our dollar bills.

I think maybe I'll try it.

7. Agree with you, Callie McAllie!

I think of money as energy that has a flow - positive or negative depending on our attitude/opinion about it. It wasn't until I learned the rest of the phrase "The root of all evil is..." and I thought "money" but it is the love of money. Changed my thoughts of it being evil and have had better results.

Now if it could just come all at once in one big swoop with no consequence to myself or others :rofl:

8. I've read so many things through the years about blessing this...

and blessing that.

All of it worthy. I really believe there is value in the energy of "blessing"...whatever, whomever.

Water, for example. Years ago I remember reading something about this scientist conducting experiments in which the molecular structure of water was affected by intention experiments or something like that (perhaps mentioned in "What the Bleep"?), and it led me to start blessing all water that I drink.

The whole subject is interesting. We're accustomed to the lip service type of blessing (like saying a blessing before meals when we were young, just because we're supposed to; we're familiar with priests blessing the wine and wafers for Holy Sacrament; blessing one's home with holy water and so on and so forth.

We're taking that to a new level in our thinking here, a new energetic level, which brings it all into focus so much more....and how the intention behind it is key. Well, to me that's the case. ;)

As I gradually try to incorporate "blessing" into every aspect of life, starting with my Ahimsa Blessing approach while driving...lol...I now immerse myself in blessing the water -- and receiving ITS blessing -- not only when drinking it, but while in the shower or bath.

Energetic imprints are everywhere. It feels right, even empowering, to intentionally leave a positive energetic footprint in our daily lives.

Maybe I'll try to envision blessing the keyboard so that every keystroke leaves a blessing somehow within these intertubes....
