If Dean takes DNC chair
I hope every Deanie will infiltrate the Dem party at their local and state levels. Maybe we could make it more like DFA. Nice thought, eh?

1. We need to be doing that anyway
Whether or not Dean becomes DNC Chair, we need to get our people in wherever we can... either to support a new fighting leadership or to work around the Vichy Democrats.

3. First, find local party
if you don't yet know them. Find out when they have their meetings. Join up as a member and then start attending the board meetings.

Then, depending on how evolved they are, you can make suggestions as to how they can grow and improve. I recommend you don't suggest much that you aren't willing/able to do yourself.

It's a start.

Julie

4. Also, if there are Democratic clubs
Join one of them. It helps to schmooze with people.

6. That's it. Jules is a prime example

power , particularly after electoral loss, is there for the grabbing.
Julie started off in the moribund part of her state, and by seizeing opportunities as they arose, has built a strong Dean oriented party machine.

Google " (your state) democratic party and see if you get any contacts. Many are listed in the White pages of your local town. I guarantee you unless you have heard of these folk, they are probably post retired dedicated and exhausted folks who welcome another worker and defer to those willing to take initiative and responsiblity. This is a ground up organization; never forget that about DFA.

Also, go to the DFA website http://www.democracyforamerica.com and see what is available in your area.

And keep checking back with your pals here! :kick: ASS!
