Yard Cat will be Indoor Cat!....
...This is an update from the Yard Cat thread...

Well, we got him, and took him to the Vet! He actually fell asleep in his cage on the way, and is super sweet. I think he realizes he's going to be taken care of...

Anyway, he had his tests done, and he has no Feline aids, or any other life threatening disease. The vet estimates he's about 8 months old. He did have a mild case of conjunctivitis in one eye, and he is staying with the vet for a week to undergo medical care for it. He had told us we could administer at home, but that he could have NO contact with our other 2 cats during that time. Since thats not possible here, we chose to keep him at the Vet for the week. He's only charging us $16 a night to house him, so thats OK. Also, he said we can visit him as much as we want. The vet wants to treat him for a week, before fixing him, since he doesn't want to stress him out too much by doing too much at once. Unbelievably, he had no fleas or ear mites!

He's such a sweet little guy, that we are going to bring him indoors to be an indoor kitty!

Burr kitty is going to have a very good life.

Here's a link to see our 2 girls he's going to be living with, and I hope they will get along with their new baby brother. I'll post some pics of him when we get him back. He is a grey tabby with snow white paws and a white spot on his chest. Anyway, here's the girls!...

1. It appears that he is a very smart little boy. Made a very wise choice
by picking you guys as a place to live.
Can't wait to see pics.

2. Thanks....
...it is always amazing how cats pick their owners! All three of our cats picked us. They watch, observe, and decide who their owner is going to be - or should I say, they decide who THEY are going to own...

3. I always thought that was the weird thing about cats
Ours was owned by a Russian family that dumped her in their yard when they went back to the Motherland for a multi-week vacation. She was only a kitten, but knew enough to cross the street, plant herself in our friend's yard, and start yelling.

A cat that used to wander the property we live on started hanging out with some of the other tenants as she got older. She found two softies to take her in and buy her cat food - we always speculate that living in the barn and chasing mice and voles gets old after a while, especially when there are suckers walking around with disposable income, soft beds and opposable thumbs.
