Adopt a Greyhound Atlanta Online Auction!

Adopt a Greyhound Atlanta is holding an online auction fundraiser at
WWW.GREYTAUCTIONS.ORG from now until May 29th! Come check out the “grey” items that we have for you and for your pet! We have collars, t-shirts,
statues, hats, artwork and more!!! Not all of the items are greyhound
related (although we have plenty of those too!) so even if you don’t have
greys, please come check out the auction! Some things up for auction
include:

* A one-hour photo session for your pet and/or you with fabulous Atlanta
photographer Pat Thomas of Photophetish!

* An original painting by local Atlanta artist Stephanie Miller of Seurat’s
“Grande Jatte” with hounds!

* A set of five cute holiday collars by BigOrangeDog Designs!

* An amazing, one-of-a-kind handmade purse with a running dog!

And much more!

Adopt a Greyhound Atlanta has been finding loving homes for greyhounds for
24 years, and has placed 3400 dogs in the Atlanta area. We are a
not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization, dedicated to educating the public
about greyhound adoption and uniting loving owners with loving pets.

AAGA has been hit with some very high medical expenses recently, and we are
hoping that this auction will help offset these somewhat. For example, we
just incurred a $1500 vet bill to set the leg of a little guy named
Sebastian. AAGA typically takes only retired racing greyhounds, but
occasionally we will take in a whippet or Italian greyhound that has been
abandoned. This is Sebastian’s story. He is a sweet little 6-lb boy whose
owner went off to college, and the owner’s parents decided they didn’t want
to keep him. He had been with us a few weeks when he leapt out of the arms
of the person holding him, landed off-balance, and broke 2 bones in one of
his legs. We know we will find a loving home for our little Sebastian, but
he will remain in our care until his leg heals.

We know that this online auction will be a huge success because of the
generosity of people like you! We hope you see something that you love!
We also welcome donations (info on where to send can be found on our
website). Anything you can spare will help our adoption efforts, and every
penny raised goes directly to caring for these sweet dogs.
