back to the hospital again for Mr. Flame
If anyone remembers him (he is a very large Flame Point Siamese that I got from a rescue about 10 years ago), he was doing well at the New Year. Since time the skin cancers have returned badly on one side. He was operated again 3 weeks ago.

The scabs fell off and it looked good for ONE day. The next day a scab reappeared. On Saturday, he was bleeding profusely.

I take him in within the next hour or so.

:(

My other cat that is indeed all white has had surgeries for the same problem 3X and it has not returned in 7 years, she is now pushing 18 years. However, with Mr. Flame, between the cancers returning so fast and the borderline kidney failure problems, I must admit that I am not optimistic. :(

Will keep y'all posted re: this. :(

Mr. Flame is in the other room and just got some treats dosed with Rescue Remedy. He is scared to death of the veterinarian.

I hope there is something that can be done. He can't run around with bleeding open sores on his head for too long, nope.

Lots of folks are hoping for the best for Mr. Flame, I know that. God this is killing me inside.

5. well ...
We managed to get him to the vet. The vet said that it was too soon for the cancer to return (3 weeks) and that he wanted to see him again in about 3 weeks. He said that he had to burn down deep on this second surgery and that is why it is doing this. Perhaps Mr. Flame was rubbing his head on something out in the garage (he doesn't go outside much).

On a positive note, the kidney studies showed no change much from where they were when the problem was first found so the modified diet seems to have stabilized the kidney problem. It is still a problem, but not worsening.

So, we brought him home and he is asleep in the other room right now resting comfortably.

Will post again when I find out anything more. The vet is going out of town for about a month so he won't be around if I need him. I hope nothing else goes wrong and that the sore on his temple goes away.

Few answers and no solutions for now.

Thanks again everyone! :grouphug:

Your positive vibes and thoughts have done the trick! Thanks again everyone!! :D :D

9. no the vet just touched his head
I swear this vet is magical I'm beginning to think. He's an old man and he has been my vet for 20 years.

He has the magic touch no doubt! Strange as can be!

13. Combine magic vet and DU vibes, and miracles are possible.
So glad that it looks good for Mr. Flame, and hope that continues. Best of luck.

Give him a chin rub for me.

12. yep, old Mr. Flame has been raking me over the coals!
Today he is the same as my prior report. No sign of anything (well a slight mark is there as would be expected), no open sores nor scabs to be seen.

I'm very happy for him needless to say.

At this point in my life I really don't think I could handle having anything happen to him. I was almost losing it there ... *eek*

Thank God he is ok it seems and I am certain the positive vibes from here (the DU) have helped tremendously!

YAY is right!! :D :D :D :D :D :D
