My volunteer app to the SPCA was accepted
I have orientation Sunday (either this Sunday or next). One problem: I need a leash and 2 t-shirts; the leash I can borrow from a friend, but I have to buy the tees for a ten spot apiece. I don't get paid until 10/2, but I can try to use my power of persuasion to allow them to let me start in October. Wish me luck; a volunteer job may be the stepping stone to a career working with animals, something I always wanted to do.

3. Good luck, and I hope it works. Working with animals has got to
be super, they do appreciate someone helping them. Even if sometimes they don't show it, or can't show it.
Sometimes they don't understand you are trying to help them.
Volunteering is a good start, I think. I have done some volunteering in many other areas, which ended up not leading anywhere for me. So don't expect.
But it is a good opportunity to look for ways to get on the payroll, or to be seen by someone who can put you on the payroll, either there, or at another facility.
Usually, here the t shirts are 2 or 3 dollars. I have dozens, sorry you're not closer, I'd give you 2.
Good luck.

4. Congratulations.
I volunteer at our local county shelter. We train the pit bulls twice a week. I love it.
