Kitty Jules is a Michael Jackson fan

I know the last thing y'all want to read is another Michael Jackson thread.

However, my Munchkin kitty Jules loves music of certain types (really likes bagpipes as well).

I was playing MJ's last CD "Invincible" the other day as I had not heard it before (lots of singing and whistling in the last piece on the CD).

Jules stretched out and let out a small "woof" like sound.

Last night I caught her fidgeting with the CD player trying to turn it on to play it again.

Some might say this is mighty odd.

However, MJ had a good tenor voice (this seems to be the attraction).

Any other folks out there with cats that seem to really enjoy music of certain types?

I can't go MJ all day long ...

1. My ex-sig other's cat Hara liked classical music...

If she liked a piece, she'd sit looking at the speaker and twitching her ears just the slightest bit.
She also liked me to sing the song "Wild Mountain Thyme" to her.

There were a couple of other songs she particularly enjoyed "When the Saints Go Marching In" and "Aupres Du Ma Blonde"...
but rendered as vocalises in the "Fish-Head" voice.

She'd watch my mouth, fascinated by the sound that was coming out.

She did this to my nephew once when he visited. Alex had the most enchanting laugh...Hara came up to him, put her paws in his lap and tried to put her head in his mouth to see where that wonderful sound was coming from.
It un-nerved Alex a bit...:yoiks:

2. When the Saints Go Marching In

hahahaa ...

My cat likes When the Saints Go Marching In too! I have several versions of it by Louis Armstrong. I think she likes the sound of the coronet!

It is interesting to me to know that our pets have very specific tastes in music.

She also likes Mozart as well! :D

My Flamepoint siamese tomcat seems like that song, When You're Smiling was written for himself personally! :)
