Anyone know of a good effective home remedy for worms in cats?
One of our two outdoor cats has worms.

I seem to remember that the broth of parsley can be used to de-worm a cat.

But any advice appreciated.

1. Don't trust the cat's health to mumbo jumbo and weeds
Get the poor thing some real medicine before her health is wrecked.

it looks like you' re right. At least if comments on the internaet are to be believed. So off to the vet she will have to go.

Wish us well, as she is semi feral, and I cannot really envision catching her, holding her long enough to get her into cat carrier. The darn girl is very feisty, and these worms are not slowing her down yet at all.

4. Good luck with her
and thank you for looking out for her health. She won't thank you and will probably sulk for a week, but you'll still have her.

Sometimes you really do need to turn to drugs.

3. Diatomaceous earth...

One alternative site sells a product that contains wormwood. Another site cautions against wormword for cats. Herbals are 'medicine', as you know.

Diatomaceous earth works wonders for surface fleas and has a history of being safe for animals.

There are a lot of people posting online who fear anything not sanctioned by mainstream "authorities". Although, I would classify ranchers, etc. as animal authorities.

5. I would also recommend food grade DE
It's mechanical, not chemical, and works for all internal and external parasites.
