I like to think of it this way: cats all share one big soul--each cat is a little part of the soul of all cats everywhere. Go out and get a new kitty--there are certainly lots of them out there who need loving--and you'll have a bit of this kitty back again.
And, yes, I will probably be at the shelter by the end of the week for a new buddy to my Lab. Nixon misses his dominant but benevolent dictator. Thanks for your kind words of wisdom.
 We're so blessed by their presence...and they just don't live long enough, no matter how many years they can give us. ...don't know what to say except may your new soon-to-be ruler give you as much joy as your lovely Lego... Such a beautiful boy!
In he second photo he looks calm but determined to stay on that table top. "I have my rights." He obviously adores the person who is taking his picture in the top photo. I feel for you. It's hard to lose such a close friend. Lego was a beautiful boy. Please accept my deepest sympathy.
He is sitting in my lap. I could not sit at the computer without 18 lbs of purr in my lap and his paw on my mouse hand. Computing is a lonely exercise now.
The right one has not come along yet. I have not gone to the shelter yet. My Labrador has to be taken into consideration as he loved Lego as much as the rest of the family. He and Lego were good buddies and I think maybe he should have some say in the pick. I'll let everyone know if a new arrival happens. Thanks for your thoughts and condolences.
