1. Cool! Did you do that with magnets or something?
Great shot, BTW..and a gorgeous pup, too.
I have not heard of that breed, which I cannot believe. Where is it from?
Any more pics?

5. Braque du Bourbonnais is a French pointer
historically from the Bourbonnais region, from at least the late 16th century. There was a decline in the breed in the 20th century but in 1970 a man named Michel Comte and a few others undertook to revive the breed. BdBs have been in the U.S. since the early 90s and have a small but devoted following amongst bird hunters. These energetic dogs are talented trackers and have great stamina in the field. They are very intelligent and affectionate, not to mention beautiful. Ours is a pet; we don't do hunting or field trials.

There are dozens of pictures at the website of our breeder, Rufnit Kennels.

As an eight-week-old puppy:

At just under one year of age:

The litter he came from. He looks a lot like his mother:

7. OOOHHH. Corbu is gorgeous!!!!! Beautiful markings. He looks like
such a sweetheart. Such big puppy paws!!!
Having a breed that is not at the top of the popularity list can be an advantage. They are not inbred and there are no "puppy-mills". He looks like such a joy.
The pic of Mom and pups is incredible. What a capturing of motherly love.
I am going to check out the breeder's site right now.
Thanks for posting the additional pictures.

8. The breeder seems like an extremely caring person. She appears
Edited on Tue Mar-01-05 02:12 PM by BrklynLiberal
to truly care for all her dogs and pups. I loved all the pics, and thought it was great to see all the dogs on her bed and couch. IT shows she cares for living creatures than for "things". Every one of her pups is gorgeous. What an incredible variety of colors.

9. Yes, she is.
She takes her responsibilities as a breeder quite seriously. She is intent on keeping the breed in the U.S. healthy. She is on good terms with Michel Comte, the man who saved the breed in France, and just brought home two French puppies to expand her gene pool.

She loves getting "pupdates" from her puppies' families, too! Especially with pictures.

10. It is an excellent sign that she keeps track of 'her' puppies.
I saw your "pupdate" picture .. tennis champ, indeed. :)
