We lost Daphne last night.

She was old and had a heart murmur that had escalated. In just a few hours her lungs filled with fluid and we had to take her to the emergency vet. There wasn't much they could do so we ended her suffering. She was our 'littl'un'.

I'm so very sorry to hear about Daphne. She's a cutie in her picture; I love her white paws and nose- :hug:

4. That picture was from some time ago.

In the last year her head and legs became almost pure white, her eyes were clouded and she didn't hear very well.

But she loved the dog park and bossing anything 6 times her size. She just couldn't go as far or for as long as she used to.

I am so sorry to hear this. It doesn't matter how "old" our little ones are, it doesn't make it any easier when we "lose" them.

I wish I could say something that would make this loss easier, but, I know that I can't.

I am glad you shared this with us. Sometimes just knowing that others care can be of some help.
