Look what I am getting tomorrow
I have a weekend foster coming up. They are 10 weeks old now, and I will be getting the 5 that are left. I think I am going to be in for a busy weekend.

4. Nope, I have been fostering for years and a new carpet is just not
in the picture until I'm done. LOL.

I have a piece of vinyl flooring that I will put down and cover with newspaper and put an x-pen up. That will give them room and keep them contained at the same time. It will also keep them separated from my 75lb boys. We currently have 3 litters of puppies in the system right now, 1 is 10 weeks old, and 1 is 9 weeks old. Those 11 pups are straight from breeders. I guess the good news is that the back yard breeders are having problems selling pups now because of the economy. The litter I'm getting is actually AKC papered. The other litter was born in our system and they are about 5 weeks old now. When it rains it pours, puppies that is.

7. Don't we all. Sigh
At least a small puppy fix for me.

Just to be clear to everybody, Duppers donated to the rescue that I volunteer for, not to me personally. It is much appreciated Duppers, they are always in the red. :hi:

8. Thanks for the clarification.

I was too assuming in thinking that folks would know that I meant the Lab Rescue of LRPC, Inc., the org. that you foster for. But not everyone would know that.

Thanks, MiniMe. :yourock:

9. They are little lovers, all of them. And they love attention
But, they can all climb out of the x-pen. They want to play with my older puppy (20 months). He wants to play with them too when they are in the crate or in the x-pen, but if they get out, he backs off.

This morning, they had all eaten, peed and pooped and I left them in the x-pen to play. I was getting ready to feed my boys and every time I turned around a pup would pop up in the kitchen. So they are all in my extra large crate playing and barking while I take care of a few things. I'll try to get some pictures at the adoption day, we are stationing children in the pen with the pups so I should be able to snap some pics.

11. So, I'm back from adoption day
The little girl from my fosters got adopted and a bunch from the other litter got adopted. There are 6 left and I have them all. 3 boys from my fosters and 3 girls from the other litter, they are all 10 weeks old. The other breeder also donated his x-pen to the rescue, which is a 3 foot pen instead of a 2 foot pen, so hopefully it will keep them in.

Pics will be coming.

15. Wow! Made hubby come to the computer to look at these babies
He still says we cannot have one until we get back from the UK. And IF we were to foster one or two, we could never give them up. We bond like 'super-glue' too easily. :)

My hat's off to you, MiniMe, for your remarkable ability to open your heart for these beautiful, loving but needy critters.

(I WANT ONE NOW. Damnit! Sigh.)

19. Well, they are with me until tonight
Then the regular puppy foster will be back and come pick them up. One just went to her forever home this afternoon, so I am down to 5 now. The 3 I had left from the adoption day and 3, now 2 from the other litter. They are so much fun to watch and play with, but if I'm honest, I'm glad their regular foster is coming back tonight.
