My girls are so much like human children sometimes

Baby is on the left, Pixel is on the right.

They love these little rattling rabbit fur covered mice. They have about 15 of them and drag them out of their toy basket, take them into the kitchen and bat them all under the stove within the hour. I have to get a long stick and scoop them out. They go back into the basket and instantly drag them all out again. Over and over and over....

Pixel has gotten around to carrying a pink one in her mouth and crying. She woke me up this morning when she got on my bed with it in her mouth. I guess she thinks it's her baby. Why does she do that? She was spayed at 5 months. Maybe she still has a mother instinct.

1. she does it because she can. Maybe she wants you to toss it
for her to chase. My siamese used to do that same routine with the key chain rabbit's feet.

hockey puck them under the refrigerator, washer and dryer, then pace back and forth in front of the offending appliance, yowling and moaning until we got the yardstick and pulled them out. Then he would do it all over again.

silly boy.

2. My cats love those mice too.
They always end up under the couch and stove. Then the cats just sit and look at me until I sweep a bunch out from under wherever. Abbie keeps giving the drinks by dropping them in the water bowl and just leaving them. Molly will bring one to me and drop it at my feet for me to throw and then we play a game of fetch.

3. Cats never got into mice, except real ones when we had a big
old farmhouse in PA. The older one caught about 5 mice one season. We would wake to hear wild rumbling downstairs, and then he would proudly drag the half-dead creature upstairs to our bedroom. Nice ;)

Your cats are beautiful! Such sweet girls.

The Daemon has Osama though, and he drags him all over the house, esp. when he is bored. Hey, kinda like BUSH!!
