It is a new DoD policy that puppies adopted by US troops in Iraq be hunted down and killed as vermin.

Here is puppy Conner, who was killed just 24 hours before soldiers were to ship him to the US:

I find this so disturbing. I literally cannot explain it. Perhaps this is just the cutest puppy. He looks a lot like the way my 1 year old golden retriever looked when he was a puppy.

I guess if there were more pictures of Iraqi children being wounded or killed in the MSM, we would feel that way about them too, but we don't see much of that.

policy? I will pass it on to other animal people to circulate it, if I can get the hard info. This literally made me cry. She looks so much like one of my dogs did as a puppy, too. You've got a point about the children, but at least there isn't a policy to intentionally kill them. That we know of.
