Enough with the pets. Anyone want to converse about pineapples?
Please ignore "him" the cat, its Mortimer and he just had to be included in this.
Anyways I got this one recently at Costco.
<>

The box listed it as coming from Honduras.
After I got home with it I'm thinking that its kind of small and
different looking from the pineapples I used to get years ago.
The crown looks odd on this one. What happened to the spiky leaves on top?
<>

These don't smell like the pineapples I remember getting in years past either.
I think I remember getting pineapples that were as big as cats but this is a tiny one!
Whats with these pineapples from Honduras and where are the Hawaiian pineapples?
Hawaiian pineapples were the good ones right?
<>

Any cat know about this?

1. He looks gorgeous posing with the pineapple!
:loveya:

I don't know specifically about pineapple, but agriculture has been taking a beating in Hawaii over the past couple decades, with the land values so high there. I think the sugar cane industry has all but disappeared there. I remember touring the sugar factory as a kid, and chewing on a piece of cane. It's a shame that tourism and golf have taken over the islands.

10. They are OK
Momma Mouse had 3 bouts with bloody UTI which long delayed her going in for the spay surgery.
The babies have been OK. Ping had some unexpected complications with hey spay surgery. Her ovaries were polycystic but the vet thinks she will be fine now. You know(?) that the babies all suffered with pneumonia starting at 2 wks. There has been some long lingering signs of that but they are clearing up well now. The Vet thinks they have some left over scaring in their lungs but should be fine as they grow to adult. They seem to be free of any infection for at least 3 mos.

8. The 3 kittens?
I did not want to keep them all but I have them all yet.
They will be 8 mos old on the 9th of April. Momma Mouse and the babies Ping Pang and Pong had appointments at the spay neuter clinic last month. Baby Pong today is a whooping 11 lbs while Ping and Pang remain small at 5 and 6 lbs. Ping and Pong were adopted in early February but were returned and I haven't tied to move them out since having that bad experience.
