Igamoo's eating habits..HELP!
He loves can/wet cat food but will only eat it when it is originally open. The 2nd half he won't eat. He loves the juice in the can and when it's gone eat won't eat it. Can I make more juice that is healthy for him (7 year old 14 lb cat)
He doesn't seem to be drinking enough water, any suggestions? and really doesn't like dry food.

probably intice him. They're about the size of a bottle of salad dressing and come invarious flavors. You could probably pour a tablespoon or two of that over his food an dhe'd lap it right up.

4. Domesticated cats are descended from an ancient group
of cats who lived in the deserts and who got most of their water from the food they ate or by licking condensation from inside of caves. That's why they like to lick water from little pools that collect on the porch or out of shower stalls and other weird places. If your cat is mostly eating a wet catfood diet, he won't need much additional water. Does he drink from the toilets or from any non-traditional source? One of my cats LOVES to lick the shower walls and shower curtain after I shower, so I always make sure I rinse all of the shampoo/soap residue when I'm through.

If your cat is healthy, I wouldn't worry too much about him not eating dry food. You will just need to make sure to check his teeth often. Maybe he will like tartar control treats. I have a friend whose cat has to take daily medication, so she buys large cans of salmon and dilutes them with a bit of water. When she feeds him his salmon juice with the pill, she heats it for 9-10 seconds in the microwave and then stirs it well so there are no hot-spots and her cat goes crazy for it. My experience, too, is that cats and dogs like their food at room temp., so they can smell it. If it has been refrigerated, it won't be as appealing to them, so that might be what your cat doesn't like. Good luck.

5. Fascinating
I caught him once drinking from the john. He thought he did something wrong...I don't care, as long as he gets his water. I will try the salmon recipe. I think you are right, he seems to like it better when it's not refrigerator cold...thanks

6. He's a smart cat if he doesn't like dry food.
They're better off eating wet food. (Dry food doesn't clean their teeth any more than crackers clean yours.) Try adding a little warm water to the 2nd half, or a little baby food. He's probably getting enough water from his food. Ours hardly drink at all since we put them on raw food and they're incredibly healthy.
