Runtime errors

[Old and In the Way]

Recently, all of my desktop short cuts (file folders only) generate a dialog box "Runtime error at 2EDD665F". Once I clear the box, the file opens without any other problems.

Anyone know why this is occurring and what I can do to fix this?

1. Um, thats weird. Well I'd follow these steps myself:

1) Create new shortcuts and folders. If these don't generate the error, simply delete and re-create the shortcuts on your desktop

2) If you have google taskbar or any other strange web helper software, uninstall them and reboot.

3) If that fails you have a terrible problem in windows, and should do a windows repair setup!

2. Wierder still.....the problem has gone away.

Based on a Google search, seems like this has become an issue recently. Not sure why it started or why it stopped, but it seems to have fixed itself.
