Is the Gateway Convertible laptop a good one to buy?

I really like the features of this laptop. Is the Gateway Convertible a good one to get? Are there others with the same features that are better?

I need to get a new laptop. Any input and/or info appreciated.

1. Every model of gateway I have every had to deal with has had
hard drive problems.

2. They use Maxtor ...

Or at least every Gateway I've ever had to repair that had a hard drive problem had a Maxtor in it.

3. Years ago they had Western Digital
Those didn't work so well in gateways either, even though they worked fine in other computers.
