1. Looks like the E2000 has better wireless capabilities.
I wouldn't be too concerned about the refurbished aspect of it. Factory usually retests and puts a new warranty on the device. I'd probably buy this one.

2. Thanks Old and In The Way...one more question...
If you're follwoing this.
Will the refurb handle the following?

Tivo and Xbox - hardwired with ethernet cable
2 laptops and a desktop wirelessly?

Or should I take it up a level and get something like this? E1550 Wireless-N Tablet Router with 4-Port Ethernet Switch and USB Port
And frankly, I'm not quite sure how or why I would need a usb port.

Or maybe this? - Cisco Linksys - Dual-Band Wireless-N Router with 4-Port Ethernet Switch

Thanks again....

3. The pictures on both the E1000 and E2000 allow ethernet connections
you have 4 plugs in the back to hardwire in devices. I would think you're fine with the 3 wireless interconnections. I have 2-3 laptops, my Roku, printer, and phone accessing the Linksys router wirelessly. My office PC is wired in. All 3 of the units would pretty much do it for you, so I'd choose the E2000 because it offers better bandwidth technology.
