How can I record an MP3?
I want to apply for a radio job and they want me reading something for 60 seconds via MP3. I could do an obsolete tape cassette but that's not the format requested.

Anything you suggest would be appreciated.

1. Get Audacity
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

If you download the Beta 1.3 version I don't think you'll have to also install the LAME Library in order to save your recording as an .mp3. But if you download the 1.2 version you will, so here's the link to find out how to get LAME: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/help/faq?s=install&i=lame-mp3
