Looking for a good but simple Money program for Linux.

The ONLY reason I have a working Windows machine off in the corner is because of the Money program.
I do not like Quicken.
Gnu Cash for Linux is very bloated and I do not need 75% of the features.
I need a checkbook/check register/tracking function
a system of analyzing my expenses via categories
and room for 3 accounts.
that's it..that is what Money does, but it too is pretty bloated, esp. if I use backups.

Any ideas to help me out?
I was looking at...HomeBank for Linux. Anyone used it?

If I could find a decent program, I can toss Windows and give the box back to Mr. Dixie to build another Linux!

3. KMyMoney looks like the best option.

Closest to Microsoft Money in looks.style, function, simple for home.

5. It was sitting in Synaptic Package Manager, 2 clicks and I had it.

Which means of course that my Linux "accepts" it happily.
Very much like Windows, takes an initial set up of categories and etc but quite easy.

6. I did a search for 'money' in the Ubuntu Software Center

and KMyMoney fourth down on the list...



You gotta love Linux and open source!
