Thanks very much. I have googled this for hours and have not such a concise answer. I appreciate your doing those screen caps!

That gets the picture there, but is the picture actually in a cell as a piece of data?

5. I think it's like a moveable sticky note that you can resize at will.
Not really a datum.

Even though the picture appears in an Excel document, it is not really the cell contents.

7. I found some way to put a link
to a picture in as contents - so that I could insert it in a merge doc.

I can look for the directions again if that's what Stinky is looking for.

I was using it on my work computer to put particular signatures on particular letters... so I know I've got the link saved on that one. Is it ok if I find it there for you tomorrow?
