Unwelcome intrusions--how do I get rid of these?
These underlined links started appearing just today. Very annoying. I don't know how to get rid of them. I was downloading something from a game site last night, then opted out, but maybe something from that site "stuck" anyway?

I use IE and Windows XP.

1. Download and install
http://www.malwarebytes.org/

There's no such thing as a free lunch. Most 'free' downloads have a payload.

4. +1 on running Malwarebytes
Run MBAM. Go to Settings>> "Scanner settings">> "Action for potentially unwanted programs (PUP)" and select "Show in results list"

Do you see "ArcadeWeb" in Add/Remove programs? Remove ArcadeWeb instructions: http://www.arcadeweb.com/deactivate.php

6. Also try Superantispyware.
Malwarebytes is great, but I often find that it picks up the big viruses, while Superantispyware cleans a lot of adware that Malwarebytes misses.

I would actually run both.

Good luck!
