Frozen hotmail?
Anybody else encountering this? I can see that I have new mail, but nothing happens when I click on it. Nothing opens. Two hours later and it will be fine.

Other times, with the new 'live' system (which I'm learning to loathe), if a conversation goes over two responses it won't open to the newest. Found out, quite accidentally, that if I move the conversation to the 'deleted' folder I can open it there and view all responses; send it back to the inbox, it will only open the first two or three.

Yeah, I know, microsoft yada yada. But this is my oldest mailbox, it's the only one used by family and close friends. I'd like to eventually migrate everything to something more reliable, but don't have time at present. I have other mailboxes elsewhere, but sending to family too often winds up with my mail in their junk file. So I really would like to figure out what the heck to do to get the damn hotmail to work for a little while longer. Totally a weird thing, yes?

1. What browser are you using? (Internet Explorer, Firefox?)
Try clearing your browser cache and cookies, then trying again.

It also may be a browser add-on or extension that is causing the problem.

2. Thanks, all cleaned out routinely.
IE browser, we tried firefox but it really slowed everything and some stuff wouldn't open til we removed it. I'm wondering if Vista doesn't have some contribution to the mess.

3. Try starting IE without add-ons and see if it works
It might be add-on related. You can start IE without add-ons by going to your start menu, then Accessories > System >
