Retouch help needed with an image!

[Hell Hath No Fury]

I am trying to create a promotional postcard for the company I work for -- I found the image I want but there is a shadow in it I want removed. I only have an ancient copy of Corel Photo House on my computer and have not been at all happy with my results. Can anyone do a quick retouch job for me??

The shadow I am talking about is the plant pot shadow -- I want the entire thing to go away, just a clean pot edge at the bottom.
