USB laser mouse acting funny.
For months now the cursor has been occasionally jumping around the screen. Just now I clicked on Internet Exploder (once, I swear) and it opened 8 sessions. My cat sometimes pounces on the cord and bites it. When he sees me move it he thinks it's something that needs killin'. Think that could have something to do with it?

1. Good Morning
Could be your drivers are corrupted. Delete your mouse from your device manager, reboot and reinstall your drivers and see if that makes a difference.

Maybe your kitty bit the cord enough to (partially) short the pos to ground. ???
