Your next computer could be.... a Commodore 64?
From The Register:

The Commodore 64 has been reincarnated as a 3GHz quad-core PC with 3D graphics, Gigabit Ethernet, a DVD-RW drive, and a 500GB hard disk. All that's left is the built-in keyboard. And the name. In this case, that 64 can only mean a 64-bit processor - not 64 kilobytes of memory. Memory's up to a decidedly un-1980s eight gigabytes.

A new American company, Commodore USA, has apparently licensed the old Commodore name, and it intends to launch an updated incarnation of the long lost Commodore 64 this summer, according to http://www.commodoreusa.net/index.html">the company's website.

"We were in love then," the site says. "Let's fall in love again."

1. I suppose we could play: what price? If they're hoping for Commodore
nostalgia, and think they'll cut a deal with Apple for an OSX version requiring extra (presumably Apple) hardware, I'd guess it's going to cost. Netbooks and nettops seem to be in the 300-400 range and notebooks in the 400-1000+ range, so I'd peg it at 1500-2000 as a fashion accessory

2. They need to bring it to market for
I can't see it surviving for any more than that. And what's the deal with the touchpad?

But I have to admit, it looks marvelous.

3. Yuck. Why would anyone want their processor and optical drives
right below the keyboard unless it's a laptop and you pretty much have no choice, but it doesn't look like this thing has a screen. Although I bet you can plug it into an iPod or something.

Even so, I don't like it.
