AARRGGHH!! Bad memory.
Computer in my bedroom rebooted itself twice last night, woke me with the windoze tada sound. When I got up, it had the BSOD. Went and got my Memtest disk and ran it-19 memory errors in the first 2Gb stick. This wasn't on my plans for today. At least I have 8 Gb of memory sitting around.

1. Bad memory, that sounds like me. Oh, you mean the computer.
I have found that if you don't want to hear the windows tada sound, at any time, but particularly at night when you are sacked out, bedded, asleep, in the arms of the sandman, etc., you can turn the speakers off. Tada, no sound.
In terms of memory, maybe it's like me. Bad memory.
Sorry I couldn't be more specific.
