HELP!!!! I need some help w/Office 2007 (PRO)...
Here's the deal; I am signed up for a course where I need Access 2007 to complete the work. I downloaded Office Pro 2007 for the Trial, got a # to verify, and a box keeps popping up telling me that I don't have access to the program, even though it's sitting right in front of me.

I had Office 2007 (PRO) (trial) before, it expired, I went to add/remove and removed it, (I think completely). Is there a cookie or something in the pc that keeps this thing from uploading and working again? Can I download it again and start from scratch, or is something left in the pc to keep that from happening.

I did use my normal name and e-mail addy, so does MS have a record of this that blocks me from using it?

Big' question, can I work around this? I have a project due on Sunday, and now have no access to the college annex to use their computers before Mon, and no late assignments are accepted...:scared:

There is no way I can afford to actually pay for this thing at this time, so I'm dependent upon the Trial Version....any help would be greatly appreciated...:D

Thanks!!!

Ras

1. There's a registry key ...

When you installed it the first time, it created a registry key to keep track of the fact it has been installed.

If you can find it and remove it safely, you can probably install it again unless MS uses an additional method to keep track of these things.

3. Well, it's in the registry ...

This is a huge file with all kinds of crap in it. Unfortunately, if you don't know what you're doing, you can kill your system by messing with it and deleting or altering the wrong thing.

I am not qualified to tell you where to find the key. It's been awhile since I've browsed the registry looking for things. Perhaps someone with more current experience will chime in.

4. Try something like this
Uninstall the demo version again using Add/Remove Programs. Then, delete the Microsoft Office folder in Program Files.

Look for the registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USER->Software->Microsoft->Office and remove it (back up your registry first!)

Also look for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE->Software->Microsoft->Office and remove it (again, back up the registry!)

Reinstall the demo version.

But, if you're a student, you should be able to purchase Office Pro pretty inexpensively. That would be my advice.
