Inexplicably, I miss that sort of exuberant DIY Dada. You don't see websites that are SO DAMNED HAPPY YOU STOPPED BY!!! anymore.

I like the Blender screenshots halfway down the page. They have no reason to be there, but somehow Yvette thought they were too good to leave out. That's great.

6. Have you checked out the Blender 2.5 beta builds?

Totally different interface. I'm holding out on tackling it again until 2.5 is released because I already know I'll have to relearn just about everything....

I hope hope hope they integrate Yaf(a)ray or something like it this time. Global illumination is just too good a thing to not support natively.

It takes someone who's truly one with their own mad vibe to make pixels riot like that.

I'm looking at archives of Bud Uglly, the old spoof of bad design, and they don't fare well in comparison. They have an inauthentic stiffness, like a jazz combo at the Holiday Inn lounge.

8. LOL - I tried to validate the HTML but got an error

The validation tool told me "The maximum number of errors was reached. Further errors in the document have not been reported." That was after about 100 errors were shown and it was only 1/5 of the way through the HTML.

The thing is: even if the site has 1.2 million hits, very few of those were from people who eventually became customers. Instead, they were probably from people like us, browsing to it just to check out its total suckitude.

Awful - just awful.

It kind of reminds me in some bizarre way of a Checkered Demon Comix..
