Is there an easy and really dependable way to turn off Windows Automatic Updates?
This would really help me.

I don't see it being covered by anyone else, so hopefully I am not duplicating a thread somewhere.

2. That was so simple, and believe it or not, I have gotten the machine I used to love
Back. Like totally.

Gone are the two minute waits between things. And the constant noise of the HD cycling.

3. Beware, there are updates for a reason.
Un-patched machines are vulnerable to attack.
