Help with wireless router, please.

I have a wireless router at my home. My wife can pick-up the signal an connect without any problem. Her laptop is a PC, as is the desktop.

We have had several friends, all with Macs, not be able to access.

How do I set it up so that they can get on? I am not concerned with them needing a password, as long as they can connect.

1. When the wifi router was setup it had to set a wep or wpa security or as an open

resource, basically a wifi hotspot anybody can share your dsl line or broadband. If it is wep or wpa a password was assigned.

On your wifes laptop there should be a wlan program to connect and also set options and passwords. Right click on icon in the taskbar and select setting will usually get the info you need.

The mac users will then have to set the same options to connect.

I took the password sharing protection off. We live in a place it shouldn't matter for neighbors. I hope that works.
