Update question, can you help?
I cannot update my new(refurbished) computer. When I try, Microsoft tells me I must install ActiveX controls. Instruction are to install from Information Bar. I do not have this bar visible and cannot seem to find it.

Can anyone direct me?

2. Here, enable through the tools menu

To enable ActiveX for IE 6.x and 7.0 for Windows: :

Click on "Tools" menu in the browser.

Select "Internet Options" from the pull-down menu.

Click on the "Security" tab on the top portion.

Click on the "Custom Level" button on the 'Internet' zone option.

You will see a scroll-down menu with radio buttons. Select the 'Enable' radio button for the following menu choices:

Run ActiveX Controls and Plugins
Script ActiveX Controls Marked Safe for Scripting
Click on the "OK" button to exit and save.
Click on the "OK" button again to exit out of Internet Options menu.
Now, exit your browser and restart. ActiveX should now be enabled.
