I-Pod, MP3
first do I need one of them, then which? What I really want to do is download movies...and don't particularly want to watch them on the teeny I-Pod screen. Help I used to be so ahead of things technological but I've gotten behind. I don't tweet, twitter or post inane things on facebook.

1. Nope. You just need
a)A source of movies
b)An internet connection
c)Storage for the downloaded files
d)A means of watching the material

The source could be a paid website or some type of file sharing which is generally free. Typically, a movie is around 700 mbs, so a computer hard drive, a large flash drive or an external USB drive are all good

Once you have the movie stored on a drive, you can watch it on a computer screen. Standard file formats for movies vary, but they can be .avi, .wmv, .mpeg etc. MP3 is also a file format, but for sound only, not video. You will need some sort of software player able to handle the movie file formats. There are plenty of free ones around such as VLC.
