How do I clear Firefox search bar data.
I have ver 3.0.4 and do not see an option in the private settings to clear. I tried the saved forms and search history but that doesn't seem to work for the search bar.

Thanks in advance.

1. I think I answered by own question. Found this, it seems to work.

You don't need this! Just type about:config in the address bar, then click I'll be careful, then go down to browser.urlbar.maxRichResults, click on that and then click modify. turn the value to -1 then restart ff and no more dropdown.

2. You must not like the new address bar?
I didn't at first but I find I am using more and more.

If yours is a multi-user PC or a work PC that is an issue.

Here is another way to prevent it from suggesting bookmarks or previously visited URL's:
1. Make the autocomplete menu show only typed addresses and not visited or bookmarked

* Enter about:config in the location bar to access the advanced preferences. Accept the “This may void your warranty message”.
* Look for browser.urlbar.matchOnlyTyped and double click it to set it to TRUE.
