How can I put this bug on my emails?
Edited on Mon Oct-13-08 01:20 AM by napi21
One of our muddy DUers has this little bug that runs around your screen. I asked him if I could put it in my emails. I wasn't going to do it on DU because that whas HIS ID. He gave me the link, but when I put that in my Sig line on Windows Mail, all I get is a sig line that shows the link.

Here's the link:

I think it's really fun to be able to have something like that on my emails. When I first read one of his posts, I really thought it was a gnat and tried to crush in on my screen.

How can I get it to appear on my emails?

It obviously works on DU, but even if I copy the pic and paste into an email, all I get is the link address.

4. I don't know why this works but it does
if you highlight it like any other picture and then go to edit and select copy you can go to the email and paste it there.

6. The "bug" is an animated gif. An image file that you need a browwer or

an HTML enabled web application, or an image viewing program that displays animated gifs, to view the bug moving.

If you highlight your DU post here, you'll see the square outline of the image file. Right click on the file and select "Save As" or "Save Image As" and you'll see that its named "Bug.gif"

7. You can put the bug in your email
But I'd recommend against it.

Most corporate email applications will block animated GIFs and only show the 1st frame, even Outlook will do that. It's a security thing.
The animated GIF runs off a script and bad things can be put in there.
