How do I make a link to a site in General Discussion? I've done it before but I
can't remember what to do. When I highlight the web address in the address bar, then click Edit, copy, the highlighting disappears. Is there something in DU I'm supposed to click first? Frustrating!

1. When you highlight the link in the address bar
Hold the "Ctrl" key and hit the "V" key - that's the copy command.

Then when you get the cursor where you want to put the URL, hold the "Ctrl" key and kit the "C" key - that's the paste command.

See if that works.

Oh, and what OS/browser are you using (and which versions) -- if that doesn't work

2. You can also simply 'drag and drop'....

Reduce the size of the IE window so you can see the desktop.

Then drag and drop the du icon to the desktop (the black and red icon before the address).

Edit: I assumed you wanted the link on your desktop. You can drag and drop the icon onto the Links toolbar too.
