Help! What do I need to do?

Do I need to install a driver, and if so, how do I get one? :(

1. Usually from the mfgr's website if in didn't come in the package.

You'll probably also need your Win 98 install disc as well.

2. It probably does need a specific driver

If you still have the original packaging the unit came in there was probably a mini cd included with the drivers you need.

If not, you can try to identify the make and model of the unit and do a google to identify the manufacturers. Simply visit their web site- they will no doubt have a downloadable driver package for use in Win98 in their support section.

3. Win98 doesn;t handle this as seemlessly as XP or Vista

Assuming it was not a promotional giveaway, there shold be a manufacturer listed on it ands you can likely get a driver from that site.

However, because WIn98 is no longer supported, you may run into issues finding something, in which case you might find an old drive that would work on goolgle with a search of win98 <manufacturer name>
