Streaming music from a Linux server running Apache & PHP & Java.
Hi,

I want to stream song demos over a website hosted on a linux server running apache, PHP, and java.

I read good things about the WordPress Flash player plugin, except complaints that it won't work in IE, and that's a dealbreaker...

So I'm fishing for recommendations. Paid services are okay, but open source is preferred. Any advice is appreciated.

1. What platform?
Is this a CMS or is it a bog-standard HTML website? If it is a CMS, which one?

2. Actually both.
I'm using osCommerce as a music catalog and want to offer samples on that. The home page is regular HTML, excerpts of songs for sale on the front page and a 3rd section for free songs.

(This is work for my husband, so thanks.)

3. Problem solved: we got wordpress audioplayer to play a songlist

put commas between abs. paths to songs.

It was that simple...
