Recommendations Please
I know a couple of kids that were given a gently used PC. I'm looking for some freeware (or really cheap) that they can use to rip and burn audio CDs. Needs to be fairly easy for them to learn and use.

1. I hear CDex is good ...

I use Grip on a Linux system, but in the forums I visit, CDex is always mentioned in the same discussions about ripping for a Windows platform.

2. Thanks!
I've gotten spoiled using proprietary software. Guess I should get out a bit more.

Turns out their PC already has Record Now installed. So with CDex they should be good to go.

These kids never dreamed of having their own PC so their excitement has been kind of magical. Their mom is a hair stylist in a small town. Their Dad was severely burned a while back. He lost the use of one hand (and with it his career) and is still undergoing treatment. They are survivors and they are hanging on and making the best of their situation. But it is difficult and has required a lot of sacrifice.
