7. Mostly, I own both Ataris and Amigas. Amiga was made by Atari types,
STs were made by Commodore types. I did get involved in a few, but mostly I stayed out of them :) - True though that I'm more of an Atari man heheh

8. Yeah........ :-)
Only an Atari guy would say "ST" without the brand.

I had Amigas back then and ran a BBS on one. For a while I was using Citadel software and networked with a system running Citadel on an ST in Boston.

I have an Atari 400 and also a 1200XL that I am fond of, in addition to a VIC-20 and an SX-64.

3. I prefer Linux
It's not a BSD but an original (mostly) *nix kernel. I tried FreeBSD and wasn't too disappointed but it didn't detect the NIC for some reason. At any rate, BSDs are good for specific uses like server (FreeBSD), secure computers (OpenBSD), and workstations (NetBSD). Linux is more general and does need additional software for it's tasks. We can all agree that BSDs and Linux are better than any version of Windows.

6. *nix
It's been going on for awhile but when Linux out did BSD in popularity, BSD users became sensitive about their choice of OS. I right off like I do the rants of Debian users.

9. He HAS to have some economic interest.
Maybe he's from some M$ related company, or from M$ itself. Who knows? In the Internet no one knows if you're a dog.

The fact is, he has as huge an axe to grind against Linux as (lack of remembrance + Hades) has against Muslims.

12. No, just a notorious jerk
I've seen some of his tirades on Slashdot, he has an "FU if you are not elite like me" attitude.

people I work with have dealt with openBSD people - Theo is really that bad in person. Really.

Never, ever ask a "stupid" question on an OpenBSD support board - you will be flamed and humiliated.

Personally, I think OpenBSD is great as a firewall or bastion server. Absolutely miserable as a desktop machine.
