Started reading 'Last Child in the Woods'..put book down...
Picked up shovel and started digging. Put in a tiny pond. Thought it might be good habitat for frogs (which I love) and for quality time for son.

Before we had any water in it, we discovered a nice big frog in the garden. Son captured it, despite my protests, finally released it, and a few hours later we had 2 swimming in the 'pond'. Awesome fun for us city dwellers.

That, and a big garden in the tiny backyard, is turning this into a pleasant spring.

And the $100 solar powered pump works far better than I dreamed.

1. That sounds like fun!
I have heard of that book, but haven't read it yet. I'll have to check it out now :-) My boys would love to dig a little pond for frogs!
