Sex, drugs, D's and a teenager manipulating her divorced parents
My boyfriend's 14 year old daughter has gone off the deep end. She lives with her mom 2 hours away. Now that all this bad behavior is out in the open the teen is pitting the parents against each other.

She is getting mom on her "side" and now won't even speak to her father (my boyfriend). She is also lying to her mom about all she is involved in. And mom has her own major mental health issues.

Can anyone recommend any good books or articles or have any advice on how to deal with this? I know it is very common but my boyfriend is very upset. Of course I am too. I love his daughter and hate to see this happening to her.

Thanks!!!

1. the only way to combat this situation
is for the girl's parents to form a united front with their child. egos absolutely need to be put aside, and if needed counseling. these are the most critical days of this child's development and there are too many predatory creeps out there to take advantage of her.
my best advice to you would be to not take anything personallly, and to not engage in verbal combat. set boundaries, and make her accountable for the consequences of her actions.
good luck.
