My End of School Suprise - (teary eyed mom story)
my son has finally had a great year at school. He was diagnosed with Aspergers in 2nd grade but the therapies and stuff didn't kick in until summer, but I have to say that 3rd grade was made better by all the effort...15 hours a week of therapy and no drugs.

So he comes home with his bookbag full of stuff and one of the items was a journal that his teacher had the students keep. It was one of the greatest moments of my life to read that journal he kept. From November of 2004 to June 2005 he recorded daily happenings (not every day but nearly) and snippets of what he liked and what he was doing at that time. His writing and his printing improved immensely as the year progressed....I was just so proud and I am going to share his diary with his therapist on Friday.

I am going to call the school today to tell them how wonderful I thought she was and that it was the best idea in the world...
