Knives don't kill people, people kill people
News of the absurd: Pointy knives can kill people

http://www.theregister.co.uk/2005/05/30/pointy_knives_c... /

Quote:
The British Medical Journal has discovered something which may have escaped the attention of the less well-informed reader: that long pointy knives are sharp and can be stuck into people thereby causing them damage or even provoking a death-related incident.
The solution? Oblige long pointy knife manufacturers to make the knives less pointy by rounding off the tips.

Another article on the same issue had the authors of the article advocating that knives should be limited to 2 inches in length, and have a blunt round tip. They believed that all reasonable culinary purposes could be accomplished with such instruments.

(Excuse me a moment:       )

Thus, I must join the anti-knife control camp and state that they can have my chef's knife and my cleaver when they can pry them from my cold, dead hands.

Obviously, the good physicians spend little time in the kitchen, and have never sliced a recalcitrant melon or cleaned a pineapple.
