but don't feel like doing it tonight, but think some egg yolk drop Tom Ramen would hit the spot right now.

so can I keep the whites til tomorrow in the fridge in tupperware and still get the cake to rise?

1. Trying to catch up w/ you
:D

I would keep the egg whites in the glass or steele bowl you're going to whip them in. Egg whites will pick up oils from plastic bowls.

2. I wouldn't put them in tupperware.
The oils that are adhering to the plastic would keep your egg whites from working correctly. :)

4. You can store it overnight, no problem, but store in glass or stainless
Plastic and oil are chemically very close, so plastic will stop them from whipping properly. No food safety issue with plastic, just that it will chemically contaminate the whites enough to keep them whipping.

5. They will keep a few days
but let them warm up before using in the recipe and you should be fine.
Sorry so late!

6. Funny you should ask!
Earlier today i was looking at fridge's (again!) on the net. Maytag had a food chart in the fridge .pdf manual online. Looks like you don't need my advice with all the great replies.

Funny thing Part 2 - We ordered Chinese delivery for tonight! Plastic Chinese dishes are on the counter. Assorted serving spoons lined up like soldiers and water heating up for tea is going on.

Enjoy your Ramen!!!
