cleaning out the kitchen
so I eBayed a couple GuardianWare pans and lids, who knew they were so 'collectible'???? I don't use them as aluminum cookware had been linked to Alzheimer's somewhere (hadn't it?)

So in these tough times, you may want to look around at the stuff you never use and check the auction sites, you may have some treasures you didn't realize.

I have a set of Autumn Haze bowls by Hall that were Grammy's, but I'm keeping those bad boys......

1. how did the Guardian pots do?
And those Hall bowls are beautiful. Wow.

You know that we have a DU topic for sellers and buyers? Hope you'll check in over there too.

3. When I was a little girl, a neighbor of ours had numerous pieces of that pattern
that she had bought through the Jewel Tea Company. They sold household items and did home delivery for customers. They are quite collectible these days.

4. collectables
Edited on Thu Jan-13-11 02:29 PM by trud
I keep an eye out for Cushman Colonial furniture on ebay, looking to complete the set that's come down through the family. Every so often on the web I run across someone who's already either set theirs or some they inherited out on the curb or sold it for $50 or something. The gnashing of teeth from people who see that. Holy Toledo.

6. your post made me dash to my maple side tables
that I bought at an estate sale a few years ago...

but mine are Sprague & something/body and not collectibles I guess, which is fine with me, they do a great job holding my coffee and lamps up
