I'm making Easter dinner today.
We had Easter dinner with Bill's family and it was delicious but it was brisket. I'm baking a ham, sweet potatoes, cranberries, asparagus and wheat rolls. :9

What's everyone else cooking today? :hi:

3. My chives are blooming
So it's pizza season here. Homemade crust has chopped parsley, chive greens, sage, oregano, thyme and sumac. Toppings will be sausage, chive blossoms, dried tomatoes.

Dessert: I have an old banana I'm going to buzz into a cheesecake like thing with some roasted rhubarb from the garden mixed in.

5. I love chive blossoms

I throw them in white wine or Champagne vinegar for yummy salad dressings. It's one of my secret ingredients for coleslaw and potato salads. I let them steep for a few days then strain them out otherwise they get kind of gunky....

6. oooh - I like the idea of putting them in coleslaw!
The blossoms tossed in that would look great if I can keep them from getting too mayo-slimed.

4. Not cooking today.
My friend's daughter graduated from law school yesterday and today was the big celebration. I took a peanut butter cheesecake frosted with chocolate truffle so that it looks like a giant Reeses peanut butter cup. I quartered mini-Reeses as garnish but couldn't stay for dessert. For some reason cooking something that rich kind of fills me up. I need hunger pangs for motivation and they aren't coming on today. :hi:
